  • UIP CRHRRP, Red Cross, and Dental Association join forces for blood donation drive at ISPSC Candon Campus

    The University of Ilocos Philippines (UIP) Center for Rural Health Research, Reform, and Policy (CRHRRP), the Philippine Red Cross–Ilocos Sur Chapter, and the Philippine Dental Association–Ilocos Sur Chapter partnered with the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Candon Campus, headed by its Campus Director, Dr. Annie Dorada, to conduct a voluntary blood donation drive on October 15, 2026.

    Led by CRHRRP Director, Dr. Ana Blesilda C. Atendido, and Dr. Lou Kristine Racca, Director for Health and Wellness Services, the initiative brought together the participating institutions and health organizations to promote voluntary blood donation and support efforts to maintain an adequate and safe blood supply for patients in need.

    Personnel and students of ISPSC Candon Campus participated as blood donors. The activity aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation, help maintain an adequate and safe blood supply for patients in need, and raise awareness of the importance of blood donation as a community health service.

    The partnership brought together the UIP Center for Rural Health Research, Reform, and Policy, ISPSC Candon Campus, and health organizations in support of voluntary blood donation and community health initiatives.
