ISPSC honored at CHED ICONS Awards 2025
The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) received national recognition anew as it was cited in the Internationalization Champions of Nation Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2025 held on December 10 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The ICONS Awards honor Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that excel in international ranking platforms and implement impactful initiatives in internationalization and sustainability. The event also acknowledged the leaders who have played key roles in driving these accomplishments.
ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero accepted the citation on behalf of the College for its placement in major global ranking systems. ISPSC was recognized for its standing in the Times Higher Education Rankings 2025, with a placement in the 1501+ bracket, and in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), where it secured rank 264.
ISPSC’s inclusion in the ICONS Awards underscores the institution’s continued efforts to elevate academic quality, strengthen research productivity, and build international linkages.
