  • ISPSC receives Blood Services Platinum Award from Philippine Red Cross

The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) was recognized by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Ilocos Sur Chapter for its continuing support to the province’s voluntary blood donation program.

During the Blood Donor Awarding Ceremony on December 9 in Vigan City, the ISPSC Main Campus received the Blood Services Platinum Award for sustaining five years of partnership with PRC (2016, 2019, 2023-2025) and contributing a total of 520 blood units as of September 2025. The recognition highlights the campus’ active role in organizing donation activities and mobilizing its volunteer network.

Representing ISPSC during the awarding rites were blood coordinators Dr. Ana Blesilda C. Atendido (Main Campus), Dr. Mandy Roie A. Atendido (Main Campus), and Mr. Richard Dela Cruz (Sta. Maria Campus), whose efforts have helped maintain the college’s consistent presence in PRC’s blood services initiatives.

The event, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, brought together government offices, academic institutions, NGOs, and civic groups acknowledged for their contributions to the Red Cross’ humanitarian work. (JGP)
