He received the Outstanding Volunteer Award under the 6th Ten Outstanding Volunteers category and a separate recognition for his research, "From Vulnerability to Resilience: Evaluating Innovative and

Climate-Resilient Strategies for Transforming Free-Range Chicken Family Enterprises in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines,” which earned second place for Best Paper and third place for Best Presenter, honoring his contributions to volunteer service, environmental sustainability, and disaster preparedness.

The event, hosted by ISPSC in partnership with the SAVE ME Movement Inc. and the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), gathered 144 participants, including representatives from 22 state universities, educators, researchers, government officials, and disaster risk practitioners. It served as a platform for discussing climate action strategies, disaster risk reduction policies, and collaborative community projects.
