  • ISPSC signs MOU with Occidental Mindoro State College to strengthen academic and research collaboration

    The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) marking a significant step toward strengthening academic cooperation, research development, and cross-border educational engagement on January 20, 2026.

    ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero and OMSC President Elbert C. Edaniol emphasized that the partnership reflects the College’s continuing commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global engagement as it targets inter-institutional collaboration aimed at enhancing opportunities in higher education, advancing scientific and technological initiatives, and promoting cultural awareness between the two institutions. The partnership is expected to benefit undergraduate and graduate programs, particularly in the fields of Teacher Education, Business, Engineering, and Research and Development.

    The agreement was witnessed by Dr. Jonathan L. Dela Cruz, Vice President for Finance and Administration, Dr. Jocelyn L. Absolor, Vice President for Research Development and Extension, and Dr. Christian Gandeza, Executive Assistant to the President.

    This collaboration reinforces ISPSC’s vision of expanding its academic networks and strengthening its role in national and international higher education development through various collaborative activities, including faculty and staff exchanges, student mobility programs, joint research undertakings, collaborative teaching initiatives, participation in academic conferences and seminars, and the exchange of academic resources and information.
