  • ISPSC receives national recognition as Top Performing School in Midwifery

    The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Main Campus was awarded national recognition by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Midwifery after ranking Second among Top Performing Schools nationwide in the November 2025 Midwifery Licensure Examination.

    The award was formally conferred during the Oath-Taking Rites for Midwives held on December 14, 2025, at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila, where the Professional Regulatory Board of Midwifery recognized top-performing schools and topnotchers.

    ISPSC Main Campus posted a 98.51% passing rate, with 66 passers out of 67 examinees, meeting the criteria for top-performing schools with at least 30 examinees and a minimum passing percentage of 80%. The College likewise produced three topnotchers in the November 2025 Midwifery Licensure Examination.

    Present during the awarding ceremony were ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero, Dr. Sheryl S. Morata, Campus Director of ISPSC Main, Dr. Gevin Soriano, Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Ms. Amelia Antonio, Program Head of BS Midwifery, and Ms. Maria Cristina Remiendo, Secretary of the College of Health Sciences.

    The national recognition underscores ISPSC’s sustained commitment to quality midwifery education and its continuing contribution to the development of competent and professional healthcare practitioners. (JGP)
