  • ISPSC clinches Championship, 1st Runner-up in National QuizCon

    The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Santa Maria Campus earned national recognition after securing top honors for the first time in the PABEStigan XII – National QuizCon held on January 23-25, 2026, at the University of the Philippines (UP) Los Baños.

    Cris Adrian U. Anin, a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BS ABE) student, emerged as Champion in the Computer-Aided Design Challenge, while Ed Olin C. Molina, also a fourth-year BS ABE student, secured 1st Runner-up in the Quantum Geographic Information System Challenge, besting competitors from 23 participating institutions nationwide. The students were guided by their coaches, Engr. Emelyn G. Mesina and Dr. Robert S. Ablog.

    Organized by UP Sages, PABEStigan XII gathered participants from 23 schools across the country, united by a shared passion for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE). With the theme “Empowering Systems, Enriching Communities: Strengthening the Role of ABEs in Sustainable Development,” the event highlighted innovation, collaboration, and nation-building through engineering.

    This achievement not only showcased the talent and resilience of ISPSC students but also strengthens the College’s growing presence in national academic and professional arenas. (MVB)
