The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) advanced its quality assurance initiatives through a four-day Training-Workshop on Conducting Internal Quality Management System (QMS) Audit held on December 9-12,2025, at the RDETC Function Hall, ISPSC Main Campus.

In partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), the College engaged experts from the Productivity and Development Center to train QA personnel in essential competencies for conducting internal audits under QMS.

Moreover, training facilitation was led by Ms. Jessa Mae L. Bonsol, Project Assistant of the Productivity and Development Center - Government Quality Management Program.

The workshop focused on three core modules designed to build participants’ capacity to perform effective internal audits, which included fundamentals of QMS internal audit and planning, evidence collection and interview skills, and findings, reports, and corrective actions.

The training likewise reinforced ISPSC’s Quality Policy, underscoring the college’s commitment to upholding highest standards as a globally competitive and responsive university through the effective delivery of quality instruction, innovative research, impactful extension programs, and efficient administrative services. It emphasizes excellence, continual improvement, and the implementation of a risk-based, process-oriented QMS aligned with ISO 9001:2015.

Dr. Emed F. Manzano, Director for Quality Assurance, expressed appreciation for the collaboration with DAP and highlighted the importance of developing skilled internal auditors to support ISPSC’s ongoing quality initiatives.

The training-workshop is a part of ISPSC’s broader strategic efforts to sustain a culture of quality and ensure compliance with international standards in preparation for future audits and institutional assessments. (????????????)
