  • ISPSC marks opening of 28th Charter Day celebration

    The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) formally opened its 28th Charter Day celebration with opening ceremonies held today, March 11, 2026, marking the start of the two-day festivity participated in by the employees and students of its seven campuses.

    The program began with the singing of the national anthem and the ISPSC hymn where ISPSC personnel and students sing in pride and unity. Dennis T. Millare, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), delivered the welcome remarks.

    An inspirational message was delivered by ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero. In his message, he highlighted that ISPSC's' Charter Day is not just a celebration of the past but a reminder of its mission to serve the communities through quality education.

    The ceremony also featured musical intermission numbers performed by PASUC-1 competition winners.

    During the program, the officers of the Samahan ng Alumni sa University of Ilocos Philippines  (SAUIP) Inc. and the campus alumni associations for 2026–2028 were presented by Alumni Affairs Director Florence D. Sembrano, followed by the mass induction of officers led by Dr. Obrero. The inaugural speech was delivered by Dr. William D. Dar, SAUIP Inc. President and Alumni Trustee.

    The ceremony also included the reading of student competitions' criteria by Junil P. Madrid, FSSC Vice President for Internal Affairs, and the introduction of the board of judges by Edmar D. Baptista, FSSC Public Information Officer.

    This year’s Charter Day celebration features a two-day lineup of activities, with March 11 designated as Students’ Day and March 12 as Employees’ Day, highlighting the roles of both students and personnel in the continued development of the institution. (Jeric Padsing, STRATCOM Coordinator)
