  • ISPSC-IPEDRC, NAKEM Conferences ink first international MOU

    Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), through its Indigenous Peoples Education Research Center (IPEDRC), formalized its first international Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NAKEM Conferences on March 17 at the Mariano Marcos State University College of Teacher Education in Laoag City.

    The agreement was signed by ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero; Dr. Englebert B. Mangaldan, Director of IPEDRC; Dr. Aurelio S. Agcaoili, President of NAKEM Conferences International; and Dr. Alegria Tan Visaya, President of NAKEM Conferences Philippines.

    Witnessing the signing were IPEDRC officials Dr. Jonalyn Sad-ayan-Lacambra, Chief of Policy and Rights Advocacy; Ms. Rinbeth S. Riva, Chief of Educational Development and Linkages; Ms. Esperanza G. Pusayen, Chief of Indigenous Knowledge and Cultural Heritage; and Dr. Ronald Candy Lasaten, Dean of the MMSU College of Teacher Education, along with faculty members.

    The MOU outlines collaborative initiatives in academic and research development, including student mobility and exchange, joint research and publications, co-organization of conferences and academic fora, training programs, community extension projects, benchmarking, and resource sharing.

    Through this partnership, ISPSC strengthens its commitment to advancing indigenous knowledge systems by linking local heritage with global academic engagement. (EMQT)
