  • ISPSC inks MOA for Luis P. and Carolina F. Peralta Scholarship Program

Strengthening its commitment to expanding access to quality higher education, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) formalized a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the Luis P. and Carolina F. Peralta Scholarship Program on March 23 at the Office of the President. The initiative aims to provide financial and academic assistance to deserving students, particularly those with strong academic potential.

ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero and scholarship representative Elizabeth Peralta Mattson led the signing of the agreement, witnessed by Dr. Filipinas Gasalao, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Jonathan Dela Cruz, Vice President for Finance and Administration.

Under the agreement, ISPSC will oversee the implementation and monitoring of the program, including the screening and selection of qualified beneficiaries. The scholarship prioritizes students enrolled in BS Agriculture, who must maintain a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 2.00, carry a full academic load, and adhere to institutional policies.

Also present during the signing were Dr. Sheryl Morata, Campus Director of ISPSC Main; Mr. Dennis Millare, Director for Student Affairs and Services; and Mr. Richard Dela Cruz, Director for the Tobacco and Agricultural Research Center.

The program aligns with ISPSC’s direction to enhance academic quality and expand student support mechanisms in line with its universityhood agenda. (JGP)
