  • ISPSC, BFAR ink MOA to establish Provincial Fisheries Office at ISPSC Narvacan

    The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on March 7, 2026, at the ISPSC Narvacan Campus.

    Under the agreement, BFAR will establish and operate the Provincial Fisheries Office within the ISPSC Narvacan Campus to enhance fisheries-related services and programs in Ilocos Sur.

    ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero and BFAR Regional Office I OIC-Regional Director Atty. Girly G. Dela Peña led the signing of the agreement. The partnership aims to strengthen fisheries development, research, extension, and governance initiatives in the province.

    Also present during the signing were Marin T. Allayban, OIC of the Provincial Fisheries Office Ilocos Sur; Atty. Pablito C. Sanidad Sr., former Mayor of Narvacan; and Atty. Jose Q. Cabatu, Campus Director of ISPSC Narvacan.

    The collaboration highlights ISPSC’s continuing efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships that support community development and contribute to its vision of becoming the University of Ilocos Philippines. (EMQT)
