  • IP Students Dormitory turned over to ISPSC Narvacan

The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) - Narvacan Campus formally received a newly constructed Indigenous Peoples’ (IP) Dormitory from the National Housing Authority (NHA) Regional Office I and Cordillera Administrative Region, led by Acting Regional Manager Charita S. Rasay, RSW, EnP, MDM, as part of the campus’ 62nd Founding Anniversary and 28th Charter Day celebration, highlighting the institution’s continued commitment to inclusive education on March 6, 2026.

In her message, Acting Regional Manager Rasay underscored the importance of the facility in supporting Indigenous Peoples (IP) students, particularly those coming from far-flung communities. She highlighted that the dormitory will serve as a safe and accessible home for students pursuing their education, as well as for other learners from distant areas. She further expressed her hope that this initiative will contribute to shaping a brighter and more successful future for its beneficiaries.

The turnover was accepted by Dr. Mario P. Obrero, SUC President III of ISPSC, together with Campus Director Atty. Jose Q. Cabatu, who both conveyed their gratitude for the continued support in advancing student welfare and inclusive education.

A video presentation was also showcased during the ceremony, featuring the journey of the project—from its initial planning stages to its successful completion—highlighting the collaborative efforts that made the dormitory a reality.

This milestone further strengthens the institutions’ aspirations toward a more inclusive and accessible education by providing a supportive living environment for students. With the establishment of the IP Students Dormitory, the College together with development partners continues to uphold its mission of empowering learners, fostering equal opportunities, and nurturing academic success. (Julia Josephine Dasalla, STRATCOM Coordinator)
