  • ISPSC, Canada’s NBCC seal partnership to strengthen academic and research services

    In line with its thrust toward internationalization and academic excellence, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), on February 23, 2026.

    The ISPSC-NBCC agreement fosters comprehensive academic collaboration through faculty, researcher, and student mobility programs, joint research and scholarly publications, and the enhancement of academic programs with the integration of Artificial Intelligence. This also supports the conduct of training, conferences, student internships, exchange and credit transfer opportunities, and the continuous sharing of academic and leadership best practices between the two institutions.

    The MOA was signed by ISPSC President Mario P. Obrero and NBCC President and CEO Mary Butler, represented by Professor Shawn Ethier, Director of Global Partnerships. The agreement emphasized a milestone in fostering academic excellence, innovation, and strengthened international collaboration between the two institutions.

    The ceremonial signing was graced by key officials from ISPSC, including Dr. Filipinas Gasalao, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Ranec A. Azarias, Director for Internationalization, Partnership, and Linkages; and Dr. Christian C. Gandeza, Executive Assistant to the President.

    Dr. Luz C. Inigo, College and Board Secretary, and Dr. Ana Blesilda C. Atendido, Chief for Center for Rural Health Research, Reform, and Policy were also in attendance.  (Hannah Galutan)
