ISPSC Holds 2025 Hybrid In-House Review of RDE Initiatives at Tagudin Campus

NEWS  ISPSC concludes 2025 Hybrid In-House Review of RDE initiatives in Tagudin Campus 

The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) conducted the last day of the 2025 Campus-Based Hybrid In-House Review of RDE (Research, Development, and Extension) Proposals, Ongoing, and Completed Papers at Tagudin Campus on July 31, with the theme: “Balancing Innovation with Ethics: Artificial Intelligence and Research Integrity.”

A total of 17 research and extension papers covering proposals, ongoing studies, and completed projects from faculty members of Tagudin Campus were presented and reviewed. 

Dr. Daniel Juan B. Ramirez, Tagudin Campus Director, emphasized in his address the importance of fostering a research culture that is both innovative and ethically grounded.

Meanwhile, Dr. Vicente R. Raras, Director for Instruction, delivered a message highlighting the importance of completing research and extension undertakings, and the critical role they play in community development and academic advancement. 

Dr. Milagros O. Liberato, Director for Research, formally introduced the evaluators, marking the beginning of the parallel review sessions conducted in three different venues across the campus.

Ensuring that all research submissions were carefully examined and provided with constructive feedback, Dr. Gemma Somera, Dr. Imelda Binay-an, Dr. Zosimo Liberato, Dr. Milagros O. Liberato, Ms. Rosemarie Deltran, Mrs. Lei Ann Villegas, Dr. Mark Jaybee Galay, Mr. Marvin Galano, Dr. Vincent Raras, Dr. Ehnelyn Morla, and Dr. Jacqueline Gumallaoi served as evaluators.

The event showcased ISPSC’s continuous commitment to strengthening its research and extension programs while responding to emerging ethical challenges posed by rapid technological advances, and by integrating innovation with responsible research practices, ISPSC upholds its role as a leading academic institution in the region.
