My beloved ISPSCians!

                        At the outset, allow me to extend my warm greetings of a Happy 2010 Foundation Day Celebrations for this campus that serves as a seat of the administration of the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College. I would like to congratulate the campus officials, faculty and non- teaching staff and the whole student populace for this undertaking, the cooperation, the unity of purpose and the desire to show that indeed we are one big happy family is indicative of the festive mood that we all are enjoying now.

                        We have adopted the theme, “Fostering the Culture of Professionalism and Nurturing the Value of Unity & Excellence” for our 12^th Charter Day Celebration that will be held tomorrow, February 19, 2010. The same theme has been adopted by the different campuses in celebration of their own foundation day activities.  I desired that each campus integrated into the College will celebrate its founding anniversary since its inception. We are doing this because we want to preserve the origin of its campus while stressing the need to move forward as one single entity by way of converging in a celebration called the Charter Day of the Ilocos sur Polytechnic State College which is every 24^th Day of February of each year. This campus has long been an agricultural college before the integration and was able to carve a niche in education in this part of the region & the country and deserves to celebrate such occasion fittingly and meaningfully.

                        As we celebrate this very momentous event my dear fellow ISPSCians, I call upon each one of you to continue extending your full cooperation and support to every undertaking that the college have. I urge you to strengthen our camaraderie & friendship, and more importantly, our professionalism. Let us remove our biases, our vindictiveness, and our self-interests that tend to create dividing walls between us. We live in a Christian world and therefore we are bound to LOVE OUR FELLOWMEN as God has commanded us to do. Let us be unified in all our actions because I believe this will propel us to greater heights and achieving quality & excellence along the way.

                        My fellow ISPSCians, as we gather in this year’s foundation day & the chartering of our College, let us pause for a while and look behind us to savor the fruits of our toil for a year. Let us be reminded of our weaknesses that contributed to the non-attainment of some of our goals and capitalize at our strengths to turn the tide as we embark for another year of our life as a state college. I ask of you to continuously support this administration in its quest for quality and excellence. Let the spirit of a united and strong ISPSC REIGN in our hearts as we look forward for a better and wonderful tomorrow for all of us.
